What is a golf coach?
The World Golf Coaches Alliance is the official coaches division of the United States Golf Teachers Federation. The term, Certified Professional Golf Coach® is a United States federal registered trademark.
It goes without saying that if a person wants to be a golf coach, they must first understand what a golf coach is. And interestingly, if you ask 100 people in the golf industry to define what a golf coach is, you will have as many answers. Obviously, however, there has to be a clear definition. The WGCA defines a golf coach as an individual who helps those who compete at golf. It is the element of competition that separates the golf teaching professional from the professional golf coach.
